Live from the Concertgebouw

Nicholas will conduct his final concert in his position as Chief Conductor of the Residentie Orkest on 25 April 2021. The concert will be broadcast live on NPO Radio 4 at 10:30am CET as part of the Sunday Morning Concert programme. Tune in to listen here.

The programme features the world premiere of the orchestral version of Calliope Tsoupaki’s Thin Ai as well as Schumann’s Cello Concerto with soloist Julian Steckel and Symphony No.4.

Nicholas has served as Chief Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Residentie Orkest since 2018, conducting many celebrated performances including Mahler and Tchaikovsky symphonies, and the annual Prinsjesdag concerts.

A farewell video made specially for the event

Nicholas finishes the month in Denmark with the Danish National Orchestra and in May conducts the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, where he will commence as Chief Conductor next season.
