In February Nicholas conducts his first concerts and opera in situ as the Principal Guest Conductor of the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln.
On 18, 19 and 20 February with the Gürzenich Orchester at the Cologne Philharmonie, and live-streamed on WDR, he conducts Debussy Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Bartók Viola Concerto (with soloist Nils Mönkemeyer), Wagner Tristan und Isolde: Prelude & Liebestod, Ligeti Atmosphères and Ravel Daphnis et Chloé: Suite No.2.
From 21 February to3 March at Oper Köln, Nicholas conducts Mozart Don Giovanni, directed by Emmanuelle Bastet.
