Following a successful recording collaboration in 2014 Nicholas will make his highly anticipated concert debut with The Hallé this month. Nicholas will conduct no fewer than four concerts at Sheffield’s City Hall on 7 November and Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on 11, 12 and 15 November. The programme includes Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 and Saint-Saens’ Cello Concerto No.1 with Jian Wang.
For his first ever appearance in Berlin, Nicholas will make his debut with the Deutches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin on 25 November at the world famous Philharmonie. The evenings’ stellar programme (to be broadcast on Deutschlandradio Kultur) includes Stravinsky’s Fireworks, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.23 (with Adam Laloum) and Shostakovich’ Cello Concerto No.1 (with Andrei Ionita).
