Nicholas returns to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for two concert on 8 and 9 June in Birmingham and Oxford respectively.
He’ll conduct the same four-piece programme on both occasions: Sibelius King Christian II Suite, Schumann Konzertstück for Four Horns, Schubert Symphony No.8 ‘Unfinished’ and Sibelius Symphony No.7.

Nicholas started the week in Birmingham with the Aurora Orchestra, repeating their London performance of Richard Ayres’ unconventional In the Alps (featuring Mary Bevan singing coloratura goat and pig noises, yodelling and more) and a high-octane memorised performance of Brahms Symphony No.1.
