Fresh from the announcement that Nicholas will become Chief Conductor of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in September 2021, he leads them in a concert on 17 May at the Helsinki Music Centre, performing Ravel Piano Concerto in G major, M.83 with Fazil Say and Berlioz Symphonie fantastique.
He then conducts the Residentie Orkest in three concerts in the Netherlands in a programme featuring Mahler Symphony No.5. They will perform at The Concertgebouw on 24 May and Zuiderstrandtheatre on 25 and 26 May. The concerts on 24 and 26 May include Mozart Violin Concert No.4 with Roseanne Phillippens.
