Mahler’s Fourth Symphony with Residentie Orkest

Nicholas conducts Mahler’s Fourth Symphony in two concerts with the Residentie Orkest on 24 and 26 February at the Zuiderstrandtheater in The Hague. On both days, the symphony is preceded by Berg’s Seven Early Songs. Soprano Olena Tokar will be the soloist for both pieces.

The concerts will mix the music with stories of Gustav Mahler and then rising star Alban Berg in Viennese society, told by Aus Greidanus Sr and Vincent Rietveld.

Nicholas conducted his first concerts as Principal Conductor of the Residentie Orkest back in August 2016 and looks forward to further concerts in The Hague in April, when they play a programme of Dukas, Ravel and Stravinsky.
