Nicholas conducts Trondheim Symphony and Sinfonietta followed by Residentie Orkest

Nicholas returns to Trondheim Symphony Orchestra to conduct a newly commissioned work “Haykal” by Norwegian composer Lasse Thoresen,  Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major (with Francesco Piemontesi) and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2.  As part of the Trondheim Sinfonietta’s Nachspiel concert series, Nicholas will conduct Rainer Riehn’s arrangement of Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder  (with Maria Statin) and Ligeti’s Chamber Concerto.  Both concerts will take place on 21 January at Olavshallen, Trondheim.   The Residentie Orkest will see Nicholas conduct a programme to include the famous ‘Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis’ by Vaughan Williams, Stravinsky’s  Pulcinella Suite, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major (with Francesco Piemontesi) and the Suite from ‘El amor brujo’ by de Falla (with Lilian Farahani). Concerts on 29 and 30 January at the Zuiderstrand Theatre, Den Haag.
